Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) Manual

3. Access to Information

This section provides guidance on how to request access to information held by “Brandroots Marketing Consultancy.”

Requests for information should be made in writing and addressed to the designated Information Officer.

The request must provide sufficient detail to identify the information requested.

Requests can be sent via email, mail, or in person to the address provided in Section 2.2

4. Fees

A requester may be required to pay the prescribed fees for processing the request as set out in the Regulations of PAIA.

5. Records Available in Terms of Other Legislation

We maintain various records in accordance with other applicable laws, including but not limited to tax records, employment records, and financial records. Access to these records is subject to the relevant legislation and is not governed by PAIA.

6. Grounds for Refusal

Access to certain records may be refused based on the grounds provided in PAIA, including but not limited to:

Protection of personal information.

Commercial information.

Privileged legal information.

National security or defense.

7. Request Process

Upon receiving a request for access to information, we will:

Acknowledge receipt of the request within the stipulated time.

Evaluate the request and determine whether it can be granted or refused, based on the grounds stipulated in PAIA.

Notify the requester of the decision within the required timeframe.

8. Internal Appeals

If a request for information is denied, the requester has the right to appeal the decision in accordance with the provisions of PAIA.

10. Amendment of the Manual
